Bookshelves of Lesser Doom

A spot for my on-the-fly mini-posts:
Most everything else is at Bookshelves of Doom.

Sean Griswold’s Head, by Lindsey Leavitt
Pros:
Easy-going contemporary about Payton Gritas, high school freshman, dealing with her father’s serious illness as well as her first real interest in romance.
I liked her lists.
Sean is a nice, easy-going love interest. Not overly protective or bossy or offensive in any way.
Did I mention that it’s easy-going?
Cons:
Sean is so nice and calm and low-key that I found him borderline unbelievable.
Although I often agreed with her opinion/reasoning, I disliked Payton’s best friend intensely.
Enjoyable enough, but nothing about this book ever *popped*. I finished it a day ago, and the details are already eluding me. Which is never a good sign.
